Waterstones.com is offering 400 selected book titles at "up to" (the previous two words in tiny type) half price, until 5 November. Check it out at the link -- but I recommend a price comparison against Amazon before ordering (or even comparing with WHS, who at the moment have a "buy any book get another half price" offer in their shops).
The discounted books are sorted into categories: the rather measly 13 crime-fiction offers include The Chicago Way by Michael Harvey at £6.99; Master of the Delta by Thomas H. Cook at £7.99 (pre-order); and the just-out Agatha Raisin and Kissing Christmas Goodbye by M. C. Beaton at £13.29 (list £18.99 but I doubt anyone would have to pay that anywhere).
The new Agatha Raisin book is available for £4.99 at the Bookpeople.

There you go! Thanks, Laura. Any news on a better price on the Thomas Cook?
